Listen Technologies, provider of assistive listening, multi-language audio transmission and live streaming audio solutions, has launched Listen EVERYWHERE private channels.
Listen Technologies has announced the addition of a new private channels feature to its award-winning Listen EVERYWHERE solution. This will allow venues to easily create private, password-protected audio channels on their networks.
This comes as part of a firmware update to Listen EVERYWHERE, a wireless system that streams audio and custom content straight to smartphones and smart devices. It has many applications across several sectors. For instance, attractions could use private channels to provide premium content to members and VIP guests.
The new functionality is also ideal for locations which require confidentiality, such as courtrooms or boardrooms, and can also be used to create closed classes or study groups for academic environments.
Listen EVERYWHERE private channels
The new private channels feature is simple to manage and allows venue admins to mark any channels on their network as private, generating passwords from their smartphones through the new administrator section of the mobile app. To access a private channel, users must enter a correct password in order to listen to the content.
Listen EVERYWHERE has been delivering clear streaming audio to users via Wi-Fi since 2017, allowing venues to provide audio content from speakers, TVs and other sources directly to guests’ iOS and Android devices through a free app. Users can listen from their own devices through headphones, and can even connect with Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids.

New features

The update to Listen EVERYWHERE also includes a new app administrator section on the mobile app, where venues can simply manage access and passwords. Administrators can choose to set up channels as public, private, or any combination.
The new private channels function is available now, and all existing customers are eligible for a free upgrade to access the new features.
Last year, Listen Technologies announced a new partnership with Avidex, an AV distributor and integrator in Greece.
