Merlin Entertainments plc, has signed an exclusive licensing deal with ITV Studios to develop a new maze attraction at THORPE PARK Resort inspired by the popular TV show ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The new attraction, set to open in late March 2015, is already being developed by the Merlin Magic Making team in collaboration with ITV Studios.
According to Merlin, the ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Maze’ will be ‘an interactive jungle adventure featuring challenge chambers, caves, tunnels and crawly corridors’.
Commenting on the announcement, Mark Fisher, Merlin’s Chief Development Officer, said, “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! is the perfect fit for THORPE PARK Resort and its family and young adult visitors. It is challenging, edgy and above all fun! We are delighted to be working with the ITV team and to be the first and only UK theme park to have an I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Maze. Ever popular, the fourteenth series of ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ was enjoyed by over 10 million viewers. THORPE PARK Resort has exclusivity rights to the new attraction across theme parks in the UK. Presenters of the show, Ant and Dec, will be supporting the marketing campaign.
