Mitsubishi Electric Creates Dedicated Photo Imaging Division

News

Mitsubishi Electric, a world leader in the design and manufacture of high quality digital photo imagery technology, has created a Photo Imaging Division.

The new business structure will meet the demand for professional-quality photo printing worldwide.

Paul Jones, Mitsubishi ElectricPaul Jones (left), Mitsubishi’s Sales Manager, said, “By streamlining our operations into one dedicated Photo division, we are now extremely well positioned to further grow our business in the UK and will provide us with the focus and resources to develop exceptional photo products for our retail and professional customers.

“As well as rolling out some new and revolutionary products, such as Photosuite – a new generation cost effective and fully-featured retail software solution – we will also, during the first quarter, be providing our trade customers with a new webshop that will allow orders to be placed online."

Mitsubishi’s new Photo Imaging Division is to be mainly based in Barcelona, Spain, where most of the R&D for photo systems and print devices take place.  The impact to UK customers will be kept to a minimum as order processing, sales support and servicing will still be handled by Mitsubishi’s UK based team.

Mitsubishi ElectricMitsubishi is also set to expand the Service and Support functions for its UK retail, OEM and leisure customers.   Support and technical service will remain in the UK, where a dedicated team will manage service related calls as well as the process for product repair. This move will also benefit a growing number of international customers who will be able to take advantage of Mitsubishi’s new pan-European Service set-up.

In addition, Mitsubishi will also expand its total service offering and will provide new packages for installation, on-site repair and out of warranty support. Full details of this new structure will be announced at the beginning of January 2014.

A new SSP price list will be issued at the end of December and further information on these changes will be provided to Mitsubishi’s UK customers at the beginning of January 2014.
