Mobaro Park provides digital safety and maintenance solution to Chester Zoo

Chester Zoo, one of the largest zoos in the UK, has chosen the Mobaro Park safety and maintenance solution to streamline operations across its 125 acre site.

The selection was made following a comprehensive review of current software solutions.

Mobaro Park dispenses with cumbersome paper schedules and checklists, replacing them with an online portal for management and a hands-on mobile app for staff. By going digital, operators can instantly monitor the status of any attraction in real-time and manage safety and maintenance programmes to ensure optimum safety and quality.

According to Mobaro, the company’s system won out at Chester Zoo for its uncluttered functionality and flexibility. Unlike many one-size-fits-all solutions, Mobaro Park has been developed by Danish software experts specifically for theme parks, zoos and attractions.

‘The maintenance and guest experience team provided very positive early feedback,’ reports David Bromilow, Director Parks and Attractions, Mobaro Park.

‘They were pleased to be replacing the paper checklist regime with the digital and informed Mobaro Park solution.’

Chester Zoo is the latest in a growing number of attractions turning away from paper systems to the company’s cutting-edge solution. The most visited UK attraction outside London, the zoo opened its ground-breaking South East Asia habitat, Islands, to widespread acclaim in 2015. In July, it unveiled its ambitious 2030 vision which includes vast themed zones providing world-class habits for endangered species.

The zoo’s stunning surroundings were not lost on the Mobaro Park technicians:

‘It’s not often that I am greeted by lions and flamingos en-route to the workshops for content review,’ says Bromilow.

Other recent adopters of the Mobaro Park solution include Denmark’s Djurs Sommerland and the UK’s Drayton Manor Theme Park.
