The Oriental Land Co., Ltd have announced plans for a new Little Mermaid themed show at Tokyo DisneySea® Park.
The estimated 4 billion yen show, “King Triton’s Concert”, is expected to open on April 24, 2015 at the revamped Mermaid Lagoon Theater.
The 14 minute show will see King Triton hosting a musical concert with Ariel, Flounder, Sebastian and other familiar characters from Disney’s The Little Mermaid film. Featuring music, songs and dynamic performance, Ariel will “swim” above the audience and down to approach guests.
To prepare for the new show, work will be carried out at the Mermaid Lagoon Theater including upgrades to the stage and lighting technology together with new display screens around the audience seating area.
