Obama Presidential Center plans unveiled

News
Obama Presidential Center

Former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama have unveiled plans for a presidential centre to promote civic engagement.

The development will be located on the South Side of Chicago where Obama began his political career.  The Obama Presidential Center will include “participatory and immersive experiences” to tell the story of the Obamas.  The Center’s goal will be to inspire visitors, and give them the tools to make things happen in their own communities and beyond.

“More than a library or museum, it will be a living working centre for citizenship.  We will have projects all over the city, the country and the world.”
