‘On my way to Jorvik’ Book Details Creation of the Ground Breaking MuseumCelebrating the thirtieth anniversary of the opening of the Jorvik Viking Centre in York, project designer John Sunderland, has written a book about the creative process behind the ground-breaking museum.

Since opening in 1984, the Jorvik Viking Centre has raised the bar for interactive heritage exhibits, stimulating the modern heritage industry in the UK with new story-telling techniques to creatively interpret complicated heritage material.

Paragon Creative, one of Europe's leading design and build companies, can trace its roots back to Jorvik.  Colin Pyrah OBE, founder of Paragon, who also launched the Yorkshire Communications Group, the company that designed and built Jorvik.
