Panasonic Business, a leading audiovisual technology provider, has announced a wide range of innovative new products and solutions at ISE 2020.
Panasonic Business is pleased to be exhibiting at ISE 2020 this week, which takes place at Amsterdam’s RAI from 11 – 14 February. Visitors to the company’s stand will be able to discover a wide selection of new products and solutions, such as additions to the 1-Chip DLP laser projector line up as well as a new 3-Chip DLP laser projector range. Panasonic has also expanded its 4K professional display line up and released a new LCD portable projector.
1-Chip DLP laser projector
Firstly, the company has unveiled two new cost-efficient lines for its 1-Chip DLP laser projector range, the PT-RZ790 series for museums and exhibition spaces, and the PT-FRZ60 series for higher education. These will provide high levels of brightness along with system flexibility at will be available from Autumn 2020.
Both provide clear, bright displays in a range of well-lit conditions, with minimal noise. They are built around a SOLID SHINE laser with DLP imaging to produce high-quality images at WUXGA resolution, from a compact design. Both projector series also include the Quartet Colour Harmoniser, which ensures accurate white balance and vivid colour expression by adjusting wheel timing and colour-filter parameters.
The new products also benefit from efficient cooling, which reduces noise to 36dB (normal mode) for the PT-RZ790 series and 27dB (silent mode) for the PT-FRZ60 series. The PT-RZ790 weighs 23.2kg, including the standard lens, and the PT-FRZ60 weighs just 16.3 kg, meaning they are both easy to handle. In addition to this, the PTFRZ60 has a 2.0x optical zoom, so can be installed almost anywhere on the ceiling.
All models support 4K signal input through HDMI and DIGITAL LINK. The PTFRZ60 series also has CEC compatibility over HDMI and a powered USB outlet.
3-Chip DLP laser projector
Panasonic will also be showcasing its new 3-Chip DLP laser projector line-up. These SOLID SHINE projectors create 30,000-lumen projections at up to 4K resolution. The light and compact design is ideal for the events industry.
The PT-RQ35K (4K) and PT-RZ34K (WUXGA) provide high brightness and improved colour with faster and easier projector installation. They are suitable for live events in stadiums and theatres, as well as a range of projection mapping applications.
“Audiences are increasingly demanding more immersive environments beyond the capabilities of traditional projection and as output, resolution, and the number of units required rises, so too has set-up complexity,” says Hartmut Kulessa, European Marketing Manager at Panasonic Business. “The RQ35K Series overcomes these difficulties with powerful projection and versatile functionality alongside easier transportation and set-up – all backed by our market-leading reliability.”
The RQ35K Series provides 30,000-lumen brightness and quality images but has a body size of just 60% of the current PT-RQ32K projector. The RQ35K Series also includes the streamlining features developed for Panasonic’s RQ50K flagship projector. Near Field Communication ensures easy setup.
The RQ35K produces 30,000-lumen images at 4K (3840 x 2400) resolution with Quad Pixel Drive, for clear images without visible pixels. One red and two blue lasers emit light at different wavelengths, meaning that vivid reds and truer blues come together for more immersive colour expression.
This new product also includes improved cooling systems. Dynamic Digital Control counters red-laser sensitivity to temperature by digitally regulating light output and operating parameters of a dedicated cooling system. The RQ35K has a hermetically sealed DMD block and shielded laser drive, and provides 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation through a filterless design.
4K professional display line-up
Panasonic was the first to incorporate Intel Smart Display Module (SDM) capabilities into its 4K high-resolution LCD displays. Now, at ISE 2020, it has announced a refresh and expansion of the line-up. The new SQ1H Series and SQE1 Series are higher brightness models, suitable for signage and Smart Retail applications.
In addition, the company also unveiled the new CQE1 Series of displays designed for everyday presentations, ideal for meeting rooms and classrooms.
The SQ1H Series of displays (86/75/65/55-inch) has an increased panel brightness of 1000cd/m2 or 2000cd/m2. The means that displays will be clear even in well lit or even sunlit conditions. They will be the first to be equipped with the latest Intel SDM slot, in order to support the latest retail applications. For example, a display including a camera and running Facial Recognition Software on the SDM module could detect and identify the viewer and play tailored advertising or marketing offers.
The displays deliver rich colour 4K images and are equipped with a 12-axis colour management function, compatible with HDR to display a wide range of contrasts.
The SQE1 series includes Wi-Fi capability and has a wide range of LCD panel sizes, from 98-inches to the 43-inches. model. The durable design is ideal for verticle installation and 24-hour operation, suitable for train stations, airport and more. It also comes with the Intel SDM slot as well as HDMI, DisplayPort, USB type-C and more.
