Panasonic Connect’s Visual Systems

Panasonic Connect’s AV solutions can be used for themed entertainment like theme parks, museums, live events, e-sports, retail spaces and more to create immersive experiences. These experiences use digital technology to overlap with the physical world to create incredible live entertainment.

At Panasonic Connect, we recognize that the way people want to be engaged has evolved. We work with the visitor attractions industry to engage visitors by integrating technology at every touch point to create memorable experiences.

Our commitment to the constant evolution of visual technology has seen the introduction of many industry ‘firsts’ such as the world’s smallest 50,000-lumen laser projector with native 4K resolution, PT-RQ50K, and new high-speed 240Hz projection mapping technology of moving objects. In addition to our wide range of unparalleled products, our dedicated spatial engineers also design and introduce new applications or technologies like high-speed projection solution to help concept designers and creators seamlessly communicate and fully immerse guests into their stories.

Case Studies

Panasonic Connect has worked with the Disney company for more than 20 years. Most recently, we helped bring Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to life. We had to ensure that imagery and technology were integrated seamlessly, in order for guests to feel fully immersed in the Star Wars story.

Disney and Panasonic Connect therefore collaborated to develop technology solutions. This included the award-winning PT-RQ13K 4K+ illuminated laser projector. Providing 10,000 lumens, this projector is one of the world’s lightest and most compact high-contrast projectors.

Panasonic Connect has also been a technological official partner of the Olympics Games for over 30 years and most recently provided AV solutions for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This included operational support, video production and system operations. At the opening and closing ceremonies of each Games, we provided around 60 PT-RQ50K 50,000 lumen projectors, our professional AV cameras captured the moments, and projection mapping was used to bring together video feed with our broadcasting solution and IT/IP video production platform, KAIROS, throughout the Games we helped to deliver exciting moments to audiences around the world despite the extreme challenges faced due to the COVID restrictions. Most of the coordination had to be done remotely with only a few technicians on the ground at the location.
