Paragon Creative has teamed up with Adventure Leisure Ltd. once again to create a new Mr Mulligan’s adventure golf experience in Bournemouth.
The teams had already worked together on Mr Mulligan’s Milton Keynes which opened this summer.
Paragon Creative has provided design, build and deliver services for the project, including a host of interactive elements and AV techniques.
According to Adventure Leisure, Bournemouth’s flagship facility is unlike any other in the Mr Mulligan’s portfolio. Catering to all ages and abilities, three bespoke adventure golf courses range across two storeys, each immersing guests in a ‘hole’ new environment.
The Krypton course promises to wow visitors with an ‘explosion of intergalactic lighting and electronic features’. Located in the basement, the futuristic display highlights bespoke holes created by Paragon Creative.
Inspired by some of Hollywood finest thrillers, neighbouring course, Apocalypse, is a complete contrast. Visitors play through an environment designed to feel like a film set featuring well-known scenes from the movies.
The ground floor is home to the fun-filled Comic course and features T-Putt, Mr Mulligan’s very own comic character. Players follow his story as they follow the course, with plenty of mind-boggling holes to stretch their skill.
The team installed 600 metres of digital LED tape
“The Krypton course design was heavily led by its internal lighting features; it was designed and built around the lighting effects,” explains Marc Broadbent, AV & Integration Manager at Paragon Creative. “Connectivity between each lighting feature was far too limited at distances of 20 to 30 metres in some situations, so we developed a synchronised Wi-Fi lighting controller to act as a master, with all the other lighting effects running as slaves.
“In total, 600 metres of digital LED tape was used throughout the 3-course venue, the total current consumption was 6KW for the LED tape alone.”
The venue also offers two bars and a restaurant, as well as an on-course waiter service.
If you’re looking for a ‘hole’ new way to celebrate this festive season, Mr Mulligan’s Bournemouth is currently taking bookings for Christmas parties.
