PGAV Destinations, a global leader in the planning and design of unique destinations, has announced the opening of Hotel Colorado Creek at PortAventura World. The new four-star accommodation is the first zero-emissions property at the resort.

PGAV is proud to have designed the new four-star hotel, which is home to 150 deluxe Colorado rooms. These offer premium access to the park, with unlimited attraction access, as well as one-day admission to Ferrari Land, Express Pass access and more.

The opening marks the ten-year anniversary of Salou, Spain’s Hotel Gold River at PortAventura. Both hotels were master planned and designed by PGAV Destinations. The four-star hotels add to the destination experience, and are linked to the park’s themed environment, “The Far West”. By staying in this immersive accommodation, guests are transported back to the late 1800s, in the Gold Rush town of Sullivan.

Creating deeper visitor experiences

“With the opening of Hotel Colorado Creek, a new benchmark for the resort’s hotel offer, PortAventura continues to strengthen its leadership in Europe’s leisure and family holiday sector, developing a concept of holiday leisure that focuses on sustainability,” says Fernando Aldecoa, managing director of PortAventura World.

“The additions of both Hotel Callaghan and Hotel Colorado Creek are excellent testaments to the popularity and the success of the Far West theme and storylines throughout PortAventura,” says John Kemper, vice president at PGAV Destinations. “The expansion and strengthening of that brand has been an exciting opportunity to create deeper visitor experiences for guests from around the world, and we look forward to more like-opportunities in the near future.”

Hotel Gold River is a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Recipient. It has also been named the Best Hotel to Stay with Children by Kids Vakantiegids Magazine.

PGAV Destinations, along with research firm H2R Market Research, recently published its 4th annual Voice of the Visitor: Outlook on the Attractions Industry report.
