Powersoft, the Italian amplifier specialist, is delivering online training on the uses of its multimedia product Deva and how it can help during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Powersoft has been hosting online training on the functionalities of Deva, which can be used for key public announcements. The company has already provided two hour-long webinars looking at how the product is a powerful safety device for towns, cities and companies. It will be happening weekly every Wednesday online.
On Wednesday 15 April, Powersoft’s Deva unit sales manager, Cosimo Cecchi showed webinar attendees Deva’s range of features such as facial recognition, queue countering, and SOS and public warning messaging. The product has already been used to help tackle the pandemic in Italy.
Informing and protecting residents
Before the current crisis, several town and city councils in Italy had installed Deva to serve as an all-in-one multimedia system, allowing for the broadcasting of real-time audio streaming and messaging, as well as video surveillance and Wi-Fi relay. Since the coronavirus outbreak began, the system has been used to protect residents.
The self-sufficient, wireless and remotely programmable system is easily repurposed as an emergency health and safety tool. For example, it can be used to send messages and information to residents. It also gives real-time feedback on the number of people gathering in an area.
Deva can offer total coverage in any indoor or outdoor space, as well as the ability to be integrated into existing evacuation systems. In addition to this, a body temperature measurement system can be integrated too.
Helping in times of crisis
The tool can be used to achieve total coverage in any space, both indoors and outdoors, for real-time or recorded emergency messaging, thanks to the high performances full-range speaker. Integration into existing evacuation systems is also possible thanks to its advanced connectivity options.
“It’s easy to be cynical about the decision to conduct product-specific webinars at this time,” says Cecchi. “But we are now seeing that Deva can be priceless to local authorities in times of crisis.
“This really is about equipping them with the tools they need to inform and protect their citizens in the 21st Century. The more we are able to educate people on Deva’s benefits and train them in its usage, the more prepared towns and cities can be if a situation like this reoccurs.”
Upcoming webinars will be held every Wednesday at 2 pm and 6 pm CET, and more information can be found here.
Powersoft recently attended Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2020 in Amsterdam, where it celebrated 25 years in the business.
