Powersoft, the Italian amplifier specialist, has provided its audio solutions for Ge’s Fairy Village Resort in Shangrao, Jiangxi, China.

Powersoft amplifier platforms have been chosen to support the sound system for a new attraction, Lingbao Fairyland, at the popular Ge’s Village Resort in China, where they were installed by Chinese partner EZPro. EZPro was responsible for designing and installing the sound system for the attraction, powered by 20 Powersoft amplifier platforms from across the company’s fixed install range.

In total, Lingboa Fairyland is now home to 160 loudspeakers, made up of 136 Hi-Z and 24 Lo-Z systems. These are powered by three Powersoft Duecanali 1604 DSP+D,  four Duecanali 804 DSP+D, six Mezzo 602AD, two Quattrocanali 1204 DSP+D, and five X4 DSP+D, all of which are Dante enabled.

Strong capacity and stability

“The original brief was to create a stable system with flexible signal connections, which was able to simplify the signal processing procedure a great deal,” says Weisong Wu, EZPro’s system designer.

“We took Powersoft amps into consideration straight away, due to their superior functions and attractive price point; which were both important aspects in fulfilling the customer’s needs. The entire system is tuned and controlled by ArmoníaPlus. With the embedded HealthPlus capacity, it is very easy to check the entire audio setup status, including loudspeaker impedance in case of system malfunction.”

Getting the audio right for the attraction’s  ‘night tour’ section of the attraction was particularly important, says Wu. Here, guests discover the Chinese folktale of Ge Xuan’s success in Taoism, as they journey through a Taoist fairyland brought to life by sound, light, and physical structures.

There are 19 viewing areas across this section, including a popular area of open grassland. Two Powersoft Mezzo 602 AD amplifiers power the 36 loudspeakers installed here, where they drive 18 speakers each, operating with a constant voltage of 100V to distribute 20W for each loudspeaker.

“There are a few reasons behind the choice of Mezzo for that particular area,” says Wu. “Firstly, Mezzo amplifiers are small in size but that doesn’t compromise the quality of the sound. Secondly, it is quite cost-efficient as the budget of the whole project was an important consideration.

“The end-user has spoken very highly of the system. They were particularly impressed with Mezzo’s strong capacity and stability in such a small factor.”

Powersoft also recently unveiled ArmoníaPlus 2.0, a new version of its industry-leading amplifier software.
