Powersoft, the Italian amplifier specialist, introduces a new way to design, manage and control install projects with latest ArmoníaPlus update.

Powersoft is proud to present ArmoníaPlus 2.0, a new version of its industry-leading amplifier software which allows users to streamline the design, management, and control of install projects with the addition of several new features.

This update includes a dedicated Install Skin, which will help system integrators to manage event the most complex of fixed install projects.

Live Sound projects will keep the same intuitive structure, but the software now includes streamlined features to reflect the needs of system integrators. For instance, users can now create customisable interfaces and controls in the new Views Designer.

In addition to simplifying fixed install projects, the updated system also serves as a gateway to the Powersoft world, thanks to the new MyPowersoft online platform. Users simply need to register a copy and can then access the platform through a single sign-in procedure.

ArmoníaPlus 2.0 was showcased in three special virtual sessions, covering three different time zones.

New capabilities

As a result of this update, Powersoft amplifiers can manage mono, stereo and multichannel sources and zones. This allows for decentralised system processing, getting rid of the need for an external matrix in many applications. It can also lead to fewer cable runs for a simpler installation.

Any analogue or AES3 signal can be converted into Dante and shared over the network through the Dante Matrix, which is now natively integrated within ArmoníaPlus. Because patching between amplifiers and Dante sources is only done when necessary, allowing for the creation of offline sources and a lighter solution.

ArmoníaPlus 2.0 also introduces several solutions to remotely control key system functionalities. These are zone level control, source selection, and system scene selection.

The WM Level and WM Select can be shared over the network, so a passive wall controller can be connected to one amplifier via GPI and control the parameters of other devices in the same network. WM Level controllers can also adjust the level of an amplifier output, as well as of single or multiple zones. WM Select controllers can be set to work as source selectors for a zone, or configured as scene selectors, allowing users to easily select different system configurations.

Improving the user experience

The new update also includes the Views Designer, for easy creation of customisable user interfaces that can be accessed from mobile devices. Plus, there is now a dedicated app which means that users can control system Views and quickly load ArmoníaPlus project designs to the amplifiers and external controls.

ArmoníaPlus 2.0 also aims to improve the user experience, with the addition of new features such as multiple workspaces, a synchronisation mode, and new control and views modes that let users choose how they control the system.

Marc Kocks, business development manager and application engineering manager, says: “We are very proud to be launching a system that allows the user to control a complete audio system from our DSP- and Dante-enabled amplifiers.

“We have based this new development on the feedback from many system integrators that have already successfully applied our products in various installations around the world. We believe the new features will allow them to be even more successful and competitive.”

ArmoníaPlus 2.0 is now available for download here, and training sessions will be available on the website from 7 October.

Last month, the company celebrated the launch of its redesigned website, which now boasts improved navigation and functionality.
