Shinhwa Water Park

ProSlide, have designed and installed all of the water slides at the newly opened Shinhwa Waterpark at Jeju Shinhwa World in South Korea

The Shinhwa Waterpark officially opened on August 3rd. It is the largest waterpark in Jeju, featuring approximately 18,000 sqm of space and 19 attractions.

The waterpark features a kids pool, spa, a private cabana area, an outdoor wave pool and water slides.

The park offers 19 attractions in total, with 13 indoor and outdoor pools – including an outdoor wavepool – and 6 water slides.

Three of the water slides debuting at Shinwha waterpark are the first of their kind in Asia. They are:

  • Super Clipper Coil:a 250m long RocketBLAST® water coaster with FlyingSAUCER™ 30 features that will thrill riders with high speeds, high acceleration, and multiple curves. Riders will feel powerful centrifugal force and gravity effects.
  • Giant Double Lift: a ProSlide Double TornadoWAVE® where riders on 4-person rafts drop from the 21.22m start tub into a dizzying 385 degree turn and then into the first TornadoWAVE®. Riders feel the longest hang times and zero G-forces as they sweep up and across the first wall, peaking at an average height of 15.2m and virtually defying gravity before descending and exiting into the first out-run. Then they rocket up the second WAVE to an average height of 6.7m, again sweeping across and defying gravity before finally exiting into the pool.
  • TORNADO: a ProSlide TORNADO® 32. It is a 4-person thriller: riders enter at the steepest angles and fastest speeds and then sweep high up the opposite wall, experiencing an unparalleled feeling of weightlessness.

Proslide Technology Inc. is a leading water slide manufacturer and creator of world-class rides for Disney and Universal in Orlando, USA, and all of the rides at the new Atlantis Sanya resort in Hainan, China.

Jeju Shinhwa World is the first premium integrated leisure and entertainment destination resort in Jeju.  The 2.5 million square metres resort was developed by Landing Jeju Development Co., Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Landing International Development Limited.  It opened in December 2017 and represents a $1.8 billion development.
