Public Gives Overwhelming Thumbs Up to London Paramount Entertainment Resort Plans

News

London Paramount Entertainment’s plans for a new world-class attraction on the Swanscombe Peninsula in North Kent have received overwhelming support from local residents.

83% of people who responded to the consultation have given their seal of approval to the London Paramount Entertainment Resort which will include indoor and outdoor event spaces, themed rides, cinemas, theatres and nightclubs.

“We are hugely excited about the proposition and are delighted to discover this perspective is shared by the majority of local residents, ” commented Fenlon Dunphy, on behalf of London Paramount.

An estimated 27, 500 jobs will be created by the new development which also promises the restoration of wildlife habitats as well as new public footpaths and cycle routes along the River Thames. Transport has been a major part of the planning process with Paramount committing to a new road dedicated wholly to resort traffic. The new road is slated to open ahead of the resort in 2020.

Dunphy described the new resort as “an outstanding destination that will attract audiences from all over the world”, adding that the economic benefits will reach far into Kent, London and beyond. He said the project had already received a huge amount of interest from potential suppliers and hoped “local businesses wishing to register their interest will continue to get in touch as we move forward with the project.”
