Ropes Courses Incorporated, a leading adventure attractions company, has announced it is trialling Climb Korea as an official distributor.

Ropes Courses Incorporated (RCI) has recently been in communication with a number of qualified companies around the globe, through its international division, in order to find suitable distribution partners. The company is currently considering Climb Korea Co., Ltd, which is based in Paju, South Korea. Climb Korea has been selected for a trial period by RCI.

Climb Korea has many years of experience in the industry. It is has a strong track record in the realm of artificial climbing walls, for general leisure and competitive purposes. The company began in Gyeonggi-do in South Korea in the 1990s. It has produced a range of climbing structures with strong materials such as Fibre Glass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) and Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC). It has also hosted several sport climbing competitions.

An expert in the industry

Climb Korea holds many patents for its products, including climbing wall panels, specific climbing holds and training equipment. The company is recognised as an expert in the sector and is trusted by its customers both in the sports and adventure facility industry and in local government.

“Our extensive experience in the construction of artificial climbing walls and knowledge of the various materials used to produce them for customers has allowed us to grow within the climbing industry,” says Jimun Jeong, technical and sales manager for Climb Korea Co., Ltd. “We already have a few indoor and outdoor adventure parks interested in RCI products, so we’re excited for the future and the process of becoming an RCI distributor.”

Climb Korea is currently a distributor and service centre for Vertical Trek Innovations. It also makes Continuous Belay systems and associated hardware, and Head Rush Technologies. RCI and Climb Korea have been in talks since July 2018, with both companies visiting each other’s offices.

“To become an RCI Authorized Distributor, you must adhere to high standards that have been put in place,” says Jon Weston, chief sales officer for RCI, who first met Climb Korea at the 2018 IAAPA Asia show in Hong Kong. “Though Climb Korea Co., Ltd is still in the trial period, they have already exhibited the qualities necessary to become a successful RCI distributor.”

Climb Korea Co., Ltd and RCI currently have one project planned for 2019. RCI is also looking to expand on its projects in the retail sector and will be present at this year’s International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) annual real estate conference (RECon) in Las Vegas.
