IAAPA announces registration open for IAAPA Expo Europe 2019

IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, has announced that registration is now open for IAAPA Expo Europe 2019. The event will take place from the 16th – 19th September in Paris.

This year’s IAAPA Expo Europe (formerly Euro Attractions Show) will be held at the Paris Expo Porte De Versailles. It will feature more the 550 exhibitors over 16,000 square metres, making it the largest show floor in the event’s history. Over 15,000 industry professionals are expected to attend, from more than 100 countries. The event is the largest international conference and trade show for the leisure and attractions industry in the EMEA region.

Over 100 hours of education

A variety of education sessions will take place during the event, covering topics such as revenue operations, guest experience, marketing, team management, sustainability and more. There will also be a two-and-a-half day professional development course at Disneyland Paris for new and potential senior managers, as well as an in-depth programme on safety.

All educational sessions at IAAPA Expo Europe can be used as credit toward IAAPA Certification.

Special events and networking opportunities

There will be special events and networking opportunities running during the expo, including an opening ceremony and reception, leadership breakfast, forums, features, tours and more. The opening ceremony will feature entertainment and updates on what’s new in the area, as well as a preview of what is ahead for the global attractions industry. Attendees will have a chance to network at the Jardin d’Acclimatation during the opening reception.

The leadership breakfast features Nicolas de Villiers, Président of Puy du Fou, and will be a chance for attendees to connect with owners and executives, as well as to learn more about the unique Grand Parc.

Two lunch and learn sessions will explore French attractions and what is new in the Middle East and Africa regions. Forums will take place for young professionals as well as those in the water park business. A future feature session with Natacha Rafalski, Présidente of Disneyland Paris, will look at the future of the attraction, while indoor entertainment day focuses on indoor leisure facilities. There will also be an educational tour to Mer de Sable and Parc Astérix.

Last year’s expo was held in Amsterdam and hosted a record-breaking 15,800 participants.
