RIU opens first Splash Water World water park in Costa Rica

RIU Hotels & Resorts has opened its first Splash Water World water park in Costa Rica, at the Riu Guanacaste. The new attraction includes five water slides.

Splash Water World boasts five water slides, including a four-lane Aquaracer slide and two tub slides, as well as a mini splash pad for children.

Guests staying at Riu Guanacaste or Riu Palace Costa Rica can take advantage of free and unlimited access to Splash Water World.

Riu Guanacaste and Riu Palace Costa Rica are located on Matapalo Beach, and both offer accommodation, dining and activities.

Riu Guanacaste features relaxing swimming pools and various water sports, such as sailing and kayaking. Riu Palace Costa Rica includes a spa and casino.

With the addition of Splash Water World, located at the entrance of RIU Costa Rica, guests now have more options than ever at the complex.

Elsewhere, American Dream‘s DreamWorks Water Park will not be opening on November 27, as previously announced. The immersive water park will have more than 40 water slides and 15 attractions.

Water park at Riu Guanacaste, Riu Palace Costa Rica

DreamWorks Water Park’s debut at the retailtainment destination has been postponed, and the new opening date is still to be confirmed.

Earlier this month, American Wave Machines, a leading wave pool, surf park, and wave technology company, released a teaser of the PerfectSwell pool at DreamWorks Water Park.
