Harold Esposito was a long-time employee of the Jacksonville, Florida company.  He began his career with Disney Imagineering, producing figures for Epcot and Tokyo Disneyland.  However in the early 1980’s he returned to his home town of Jacksonville and joined the team at Sally.  At that point the company was just eight years old.

Harold Esposito Sally Corp“For over thirty years, Harold was a vital member of the Sally family. We lost a great friend and brother today,” says John Wood, CEO of Sally Corporation.

“Throughout his career he led the way as we developed animatronic figures and show action equipment for parks around the world.”

Wood applauded Esposito’s “can do spirit”.  “Harold seemed to be born with innate problem-solving mechanical skills and always maintained a willingness to mentor others along the way. We were extremely fortunate to have him as a member of our family. His memory will be cherished by all who were blessed to know him.”

He was a mentor to many young minds in the Sally “shop”.

“Harold was an extraordinary, one of a kind leader who envisioned some of Sally’s most memorable and loved animatronics,” says Todd Gillrup, VP of Operations at Sally.

“Harold led his fabrication team with lifelong industry experience and brilliant imagination.”

Harold was known and loved for his quirky personality and practical jokes.  He loved his wife, Margaret, motorbike riding, and the occasional craft beer with his friends.  His unexpected death has prompted an outpouring of grief and fond memories on the Sally Facebook page.

“Our company, our “family”, has lost an incredible man,” says Lauren Wood Weaver, Marketing Director for Sally Corporation.  “He will truly be missed.”
