A HeyDay Entertainment center and Schulman’s Movie Bowl Grille have been announced for Denison, Texas.

The HeyDay Entertainment Center has been announced for Gateway Village. It will be the third location for the Oklahoma-based chain. The Denison venue will feature bowling lanes, a two-story laser tag arena, ropes course, and 18-hole mini-golf course, among others.

HeyDay currently has two centers in Oklahoma: Norman and Bricktown.

Schulman’s Movie Bowl Grille will be located off highway 75 and Crawford. Itwill feature a bowling alley, eight dine-in movie theaters, a restaurant with a bar, an interactive arcade and laser tag.

Schulman’s Movie Bowl Grille currently has two locations in Texas: Corsicana and Bay City.

Denison Mayor, Jared Johnson, said the addition of HeyDay Entertainment will bring activities for families – a void he has been trying to fill for over ten years.

“We’ve heard that for well over a decade,” he explained: “What is there to do for kids?

“We’ve talked about Team Denison for the past five years and what that looks like. This is yet another project where we say, ‘It takes a lot of us to make things happen’.”

Brad Little, managing partner for Heyday Entertainment, said he had no expansion plans – but the company was impressed by what he saw when he was approached by Denison. Little said he expects to invest about $10 million in the third project.

The second development – Schulman’s Movie Bowl Grille – will bring lots of jobs, according to realtor Sara Jerome. KXII News reports that she said: “It will employ about 150 people, it brings jobs and income back here to Denison. Hopefully we’ll become an area where we can drive to, to go to the movies, to dine, to go bowling and go do different things.”
