Activate Games is a gaming facility combining physical activity and digital gaming.

American Dream in New Jersey is adding another attraction to its collection of indoor entertainment offerings with Activate Games, an interactive gaming experience.

Founded in 2019, Activate Games is a state-of-the-art gaming facility with venues across the US and Canada. It combines physical activity and digital gaming.

The 5,000-square-foot East Coast flagship location at American Dream will be home to live-action gaming experiences. Teams will take on physical and mental challenges, enjoying more than 500 games and difficulty levels.

These include shooting games and action movie-inspired laser games. Players’ scores are tracked through RFID wristbands.

“We’re thrilled to add Activate Games to the growing list of unique experiences at American Dream,” said Don Ghermezian, American Dream’s CEO.

“American Dream is constantly evolving its entertainment lineup to delight our multi-generational audience.”

“This innovative concept that combines digital and sport-style games is truly the next evolution in attractions and will be an outstanding option for our guests,” he added.

Developed by Triple Five Group, American Dream boasts entertainment, retail and dining. Its indoor attractions include DreamWorks Water Park and Nickelodeon Universe.

Also on offer are the Legoland Discovery Center, Sea Life Aquarium, Big Snow, The Escape Game, Dream Wheel, and TiLT Museum.

Retailtainment expansion

Upcoming location-based entertainment at the shopping mall includes The Game Room Powered by Hasbro, Skip Barber Racing Go-Kart Academy, and the Paradox Museum.

Set to open later this year, the Paradox Museum will feature more than 70 paradox-based exhibits, offering “mind-twisting, eye-tricking experiences”, according to a release. Guests will learn about “the science behind paradoxes”.

“American Dream is an unbelievable destination with an outstanding lineup of entertainment, shopping and dining,” said Bryce Anderson, owner of Activate Games.

“It’s the perfect place for us to open our East Coast flagship,” Anderson added.
