Leading ticketing solutions company, Semnox Solutions, has provided its integrated Automated Entry Management system to Bulgaria’s Muzeiko Museum.
Muzeiko, the first children’s museum in South Eastern Europe, is housed in a state-of-the-art ‘eco’ building that generates its own electricity and is heated with sustainable geothermal energy.
The Muzeiko Museum selected Semnox’s complete ticketing solution to help manage Entry Ticketing, Memberships, Automatic Entry Management and Gift Shop sales. Gate entry can be controlled via barcoded wrist bands and RFID Bracelets that are valid on pre-defined dates.

According to Bistra Kirova, Executive Director, Muzeiko, the system’s combination of advanced technology and value for money made the decision easy: “When you get into the guts of how the system works you will find that the system is sophisticated yet very easy to use. This has been the feedback not just from me but all the staff that use the system on a day to day basis. We are very excited about our new system and look forward to working with Semnox.”
Minor customisations were necessary to meet the Bulgarian government’s requirements such as the credit card interface in the POS system and integration with a fiscal printer.
Muzeiko is also using the system to manage the sale of souvenirs through Semnox’s Point of Sale software with complete inventory tracking using Semnox’s Inventory Module.
