Severn Lamb Tayto Park“We invested in the train after seeing them in many other parks. We noticed that they were more than just a means of transport but more an attraction that the entire family would enjoy. Everyone from toddlers to grandparents enjoyed it and we wanted to bring something like that to Tayto Park.

“We choose Severn Lamb because of their fantastic reputation, their great quality trains located throughout the world and their ease to work with.

“The train has been received fantastically by all visitors and there is constantly a queue of people looking to board the train which shows the popularity of it. I am extremely happy with the train which we got from them.”

Severn Lamb’s Texan locomotive has proved popular the world over and is capable of pulling four coaches and carrying up to 96 seated passengers. The package includes the locomotive and tender (diesel hydraulic with steam smoke and sound effect), 3 cast aluminium coaches and 500m of track. As the majority of our business is outside of the United Kingdom and Ireland, the opportunity to supply a full turnkey package including both train and a track to a nearby client was very exciting. We are sure that the train ride will be a highlight to the park’s visitors.”

The company has been involved  in diverse projects in over 50 countries worldwide including the SL Monorail system for Malaysia, Jupiter steam locomotives for Disneyland, Hong Kong and parade floats for the Athens Summer Olympics opening ceremony.
