Six Flags Announces MultiMillion Redevelopment of Hurricane Harbour, Mexico

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, the world’s largest regional theme park company is planning a multimillion dollar expansion of Hurricane Harbour waterpark in Mexico.

The revamped 67 acre park in Oaxtepec will include a wide mix of new water slides, rides and attractions along with food and retail outlets.

Six Flags confirmed that its public bid to open and operate that park has been accepted by IMSS (México’s National Social Security Entity).

John Odum, President, Six Flags International Development Company said the company was looking forward to bringing the Six Flags experience to other locations in Mexico:

“Our theme park in Mexico City is one of our fastest growing and most beloved parks, and we look forward to offering guests thrilling Six Flags memories at the new Hurricane Harbour Oaxtepec waterpark for years to come.”

Six Flags currently has 18 parks across the United States, Mexico and Canada and reports $1.2 billion in revenue.
