Intamin Amusement Rides has partnered with Qiddiya to design the ride. It will be the signature attraction at Six Flags Qiddiya.
World’s fastest, tallest and longest roller coaster
The roller coaster will achieve speeds of 250+km/h. Falcon’s Flight will also be the longest and tallest coaster in the world. The track will be around 4km and will have a vertical cliff dive manoeuvre into a 160m-deep valley. The roller coaster will use magnetic motor acceleration (LSM technology).
“Rollercoaster fans around the world have been eagerly anticipating this ride since it was announced as there is nothing quite like it anywhere else. Now we are in the design stage with the experts at Intamin and the engineering team at Six Flags, the excitement is building!” said Philippe Gas, CEO of Quiddiya.
The ride will “dominate the skyline at Qiddiya”, Gas explained. Riders will have a panoramic view of Quidiya as the ride will “weave all the way around our destination, right out of the theme park, up the cliffside, and down the cliff face – the greatest drop of any ride in the world; it won’t be for the fainthearted!

The ride will last around three minutes and features three electromagnetic propulsion launch systems. Falcon’s Flight will have a parabolic airtime hill which will allow for a weightlessness airtime experience.
“I will never forget the moment when I was standing at the edge of the 200-meter-high cliff on the Tuwaiq Mountain in Qiddiya, looking into the valley and imagining the creation of a future record-setting roller coaster,” said Daniel Schoppen, Vice Presiden Design & Development of Intamin.
“I knew that exactly at this spot, The Falcon Flight will dive down along the cliff, ending in a unique exhilarating 250+ km/h proximity flight close to the ground. The worldwide unique setting and heights such as the natural cliff will enable us to design an architectural masterpiece in steel.”
Six Flags Qiddiya will cover 79 acres and will have 28 rides and attractions over six themed lands.
Saudi Giga Projects
Qiddiya joins other giga-projects, such as Amaala and The Red Sea Project as part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
