Swamp Motel, a creative agency and production house in the immersive sector, has launched an interactive detective experience called Plymouth Point.
Swamp Motel is pleased to announce that its new interactive experience, Plymouth Point, is now available. Inspired by true crime dramas as well as the realities of lockdown life under COVID-19, this authentic live experience brings friends together virtually in order to solve a mystery.
The story focuses on the disappearance of a local resident named Ivy, and participants must work together to solve a series of clues. Working as a team despite the social distance, they are challenged to use the internet to explore through video calls, social media accounts and obscure websites to piece together what happened to her.
An online interactive experience
The experience has now launched for a limited run of three weeks. Tickets cost £20 for a group of up to six people and all profits will be going to charity.
Ollie Jones and Clem Garritty, Co-Founders and Creative Directors of Swamp Motel say: “As a small independent company who create live events, lockdown definitely put the brakes on things. Much like everyone around the world, we found ourselves stuck – quizzes, true crime drama and world wide web surfing filling our evenings.
“Being brought to a standstill forced us to play around with format and see whether we could translate our techniques to an online medium. Then came the idea for Plymouth Point; combining our love for creating a thrilling experience with what we do best; telling an authentic story and immersing an audience.
“We’ve built an internet trail that needs to be cracked. If you fancy yourself as a bit of a detective, a stealthy internet snooper or in need of an escape into a fast-paced, intriguing world, Plymouth Point is the place for you.”
