CORINNE MARIE CUNNINGHAM
November 29, 1977 – October 11, 2014
It is with tremendous and profound sadness that The Hettema Group communicates the loss of long time employee and THG family member Corinne Cunningham. Corinne passed away on Saturday after a prolonged illness, which she faced with courage, her typical directness, razor sharp mind and wry sense of humor.
Corinne was the first employee hired at THG over 12 years ago and served many roles during the growth of the company. In the early days, when it was often just Corinne and Phil in a tiny office, she was receptionist, accountant, project coordinator, advisor and marketing manager, in addition to any other role that needed to be filled. After completing her Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science, she assumed the role of chief researcher and archivist, as well as the Director of Information Services for The Hettema Group. Her radar-like awareness and memory made her the “go to” source for information about THG or any other subject.
For those who knew Corinne well, she had an incomparable dry and witty sense of humor. She loved life, laughter and music, was insatiably curious, and was always up for a new adventure. A self described “foodie”, she followed upcoming chefs and restaurants around the country and often travelled just to attend dining events.
Corinne is survived by her beloved husband, Morgan Roberts, her father, two sisters, nieces and nephews, her two wonderful dogs, Ki and Coda, her close friend John Kasperowicz and her family at The Hettema Group.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a fund sent c/o The Hettema Group (or direct to www.ccapinc.org) will benefit Careers through Culinary Arts, which supports at risk youth in establishing culinary careers.
Plans for a celebration of Corinne’s life are pending.
