Thai retail property developer Central Pattana Public Company Limited has partnered with creative agency Right Man Limited to develop Tribhum: The Mystical Three Worlds theme park.
The park is described as the “world’s first walk-through 3D adventure theme park,” and will open on February 1, 2019 in Central Phuket.
Dr. Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, Executive Vice President-Marketing, Central Pattana Public Co. Ltd. or CPN, said that a 10,000-sqm plot in front of Floresta building has been transformed into “Tribhum: The Mystic of Three Worlds”.
The park is themed arround a mystic territory transpired from folklore and uses an “international storytelling approach.”
Tangpoonsinthana said: “Having formed a 50:50 venture with Right Man Limited under Phenomenon Creation Co., Ltd. with the total investment value of 600 million baht, the collaboration was for the magical creation of Tribhum as a world-class attraction of Phuket and as one among the top checklists of visitors from all over the world. The venue is considered a key force that accelerates Phuket’s tourism potential, which in turn will enable the province to compete with other countries that similarly feature natural attractions for tourism. Our main target visitors include 70% of foreign tourists, including group and FIT visitors with concentrations on Chinese, Russian, Indian and European visitors, plus another 30% of Thai and expat visitors from Phuket and nearby provinces, as well as Thai tourists who visit Phuket. It is expected that the theme park will be able to draw more than 1 million visitors in the first year.”
Mr. Upathum Nisitsukcharoen, chief executive officer of Right Man Limited, said that Tribhum will tell a tale featuring the hunt of Amrita between “Garuda” and “Naga”, one that is easy for everyone to understand.
Three lands
The park is formed of three lands. Silver Mountain will feature a 360-degree dome which will take visitors to the sacred land of Garuda with life-like animation. There will be a glass path 20 metres above the ground leading to an observation point of the park.
In the Underwater World, visitors will be able to see underwater life and fireflies in a “virtual ecosystem”. This land will also include Thailand’s first 4D Flying Theatre.
And finally, in the Magic Forest, a giant glass pyramid will create a kaleidoscope effect and a talking tree will allow visitors to talk like the magical plants.
