The original Star Tours opened at Toyko Disneyland in 1989 and has been a favourite with visitors of all ages ever since. The attraction is a “motion-based” ride based on the classic Star Wars films. Star Tours allowed guests to emulate the “thrills of space travel”, as portrayed in the movies.

Star Tours: The Adventure Continues will be revamped to include a further element of unpredictability. This includes the addition of several scenes in which multiple scenarios are randomly selected.

The updated attraction will also include 3-D imagines so that guests can feel fully immersed in the Star Wars experience at the Toyko Disney Resort. The new scenes and potential scenarios will give the new ride the advantage of 50 possible storyline combinations, meaning that visitors can never be sure what they will encounter on each ride.

Star Tours: The Adventures Continue is suitable not only for the millions of Star Wars fans around the globe, but promises a thrilling space travel adventure to those not familiar with the films too.

Star Tours: The Adventures Continue represents an investment of around 7 billion yen for Toyko Disneyland and has a capacity of 40 seats in each of its 6 cabins. The ride lasts about 4 minutes and 30 seconds, something which is sure to mean returning visitors due to the updated scenarios.

Star Tours will close as of April 2, 2012 to make way for the refurbishment until the new attraction opens as Star Tours: The Adventures Continue in spring 2013.
