Toverland has revealed its new entrance area, which has been constructed as part of the Netherlands-based park’s €35m expansion.

When it opens, Port Laguna will become the heart of the Toverland. The entrance area is designed as an idyllic harbour town with azure water, a beach and a boulevard full of shops, bars, shows, games and an iconic lighthouse.

Magic will be a key theme for the area with the Magistralis’ Magic Store a main attraction. There will also be other magical experiences for guests to discover in the different corners of Port Laguna.

In addition to Port Laguna, Toverland will also open the Avalon themed area in July. Avalon will feature two new major rides, the Fēnix winged coaster and Merlin’s Quest boat ride.

Fēnix is an eight-way wing coaster, with the trolleys hanging next to the rails to create a flying experience. Merlin’s Quest will take visitors on a 12 minute boat ride on a search for Tir na nŌg, the source of eternal youth, sailing into a dark ride section themed as a ruin.

Since opening as an indoor park in May 2001, Toverland (‘Magicland’has expanded continuously. Built over seven hectares of new space, this latest expansion is the largest in the park’s history.

The park has launched the dedicated 2018.toverland.com website, where people can follow the latest news on the expansion.
