Leading creator of 5D immersive and interactive media-based attractions, Triotech, has scooped a fistful of awards for two of its dark ride projects.
The European Star Awards have placed LEGO® NINJAGO® The Ride at LEGOLAND® Deutschland among Europe’s Best New Rides for 2017.
In addition, the ParkscoutPlus awards have honoured Ghostbusters 5D and LEGO® NINJAGO® The Ride (LEGOLAND® Deutschland) as two of Germany’s Best New Rides for 2017.
European Star Awards, hosted by the Kirmes & Park Revue, are among the most highly-sought after honours in the European amusement industry.
The ParkscoutPlus awards are newly-established in the region and are supported by German technology company, TechniSat.
Ernest Yale, Triotech’s President and CEO, said it was ‘very exciting’ to be recognised by two separate awards programmes.
“Both LEGO® NINJAGO® The Ride and Ghostbusters 5D feature industry-first characteristics and have a wide audience appeal,” he added. “In both projects, we were able to leverage the strong intellectual properties into compelling interactive experiences.”
Maestro™ hand gesture technology
LEGO® NINJAGO® The Ride features the company’s industry-leading Maestro™ hand gesture technology. This allows guests to interact with the content using their hands instead of a weapon-like device.
For Ghostbusters 5D, Triotech incorporated a physical ‘ghost trap’ where riders capture
ghosts and slimers using their interactive gamma-ray devices.
Founded in 1999, Triotech creates award-winning immersive and interactive media-based attractions for both the entertainment and edutainment sectors.
With 250 installations in over 50 countries across the globe, over 72 million guests have experienced a Triotech attraction. The company delivers integrated turnkey solutions for digital attractions including content developed in its own studio in Montreal, Canada.
