Triotech, the award-winning creator of media-based attractions, has announced that orders for The Storm are exceeding expectations.
Triotech is pleased to announce that, since it started to ship out orders of The Storm last month, it already has over 200 units of the game on order. The company launched its new VR interactive simulator at IAAPA Expo 2019 in Orlando and had to put an extra productions shift in place at its Joliette factory, in order to meet the huge demand.
The Storm has been performing well in field tests, showing strong earning potential, which is fuelling the demand for Triotech’s latest coin-op simulator.
The Storm
The Storm is a unique interactive VR coin-op simulator ride that allows up to two players to take part. In a world-first for coin-op VR games, players do not hold a controller. Instead, during the experience, they interact with the gameplay simply by moving their hands.
This hand-gesture interactivity is key to driving replayability, as players compete with each other for the top score. It also features motion seats as well as special effects like wind, alongside exclusive content developed by Triotech.
“We began to get commitments from clients for the STORM directly on the show floor at IAAPA Expo 2019,” says Ernest Yale, Triotech’s Founder and CEO. “When we develop an attraction, we focus on the guest experience as well as ROI for the operator. The STORM combines both and we’re thrilled of its success so far.”
Triotech is currently exhibiting at Amusement Expo International 2020 in New Orleans, Louisiana, where the team can be found at booth #113.
The company also recently announced the opening of three new media-based attractions at Resorts World Genting’s Skytropolis. This is an indoor theme park located in Malaysia’s Genting Highlands. The installation includes the biggest Triotech Dark Ride Theatre in Southeast Asia.
