Two Bit Circus has announced that it is temporarily closing in response to the global coronavirus pandemic. However, the attraction also shared advice for recreating the Two Bit Circus experience at home.
Two Bit Circus’ Micro-Amusement Park in downtown Los Angeles is closing “based on the rapidly evolving situation” until March 31.
In a statement, Two Bit Circus wrote: “We’ve learned that even people without symptoms may be contagious so we’ve decided that thermal cameras, hand sanitizer showers, and hoop skirts aren’t enough to keep our guests healthy.”

Coronavirus self-isolation tips from Two Bit Circus
- Make a cardboard arcade using a large box that once housed “that 72-pack of toilet paper you bought from a scalper”.
- Create your own escape room. Two Bit Circus recommends the title, ‘Escape from Quarantine’.
- Enjoy your own virtual reality (VR) experience of the outside world via the video below, if you’re fortunate enough to own a VR headset.
- Have drinks with friends over Skype. Two Bit Circus says “the recipe for a Quarantini is… the same as a Martini”.
- Other suggestions include board games, singing, or Dungeons & Dragons.
“Talk about the things you love with the people you love,” said Two Bit Circus. “We may all be stuck inside, but we don’t have to lose touch with the human side of all of this.”
“We’re still a community,” it added. “Playing from home is how we can take care of each other right now.
“Our team will keep working on fun ways to entertain you during this time at home and for when we come out the other side.”
Coronavirus has resulted in the closure of various attractions, including Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Orlando Resort, Six Flags and SeaWorld.
Disneyland, Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris have also closed in light of COVID-19. Disney previously shut down theme parks in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
