Reem Mall releases details and images of world’s largest snow park in Abu Dhabi

Reem Mall has released images and details of the world’s largest snow park. Snow Abu Dhabi is opening as part of the $1.2 billion Reem Mall project in 2020.

Snow Abu Dhabi, a partnership between Reem Mall, Majid Al Futtaim Ventures and Thinkwell Group will feature 13 rides and attractions over several zones, including Snowflake Garden, Blizzard’s Bazaar and Flurries’ Mountain.

Blizzard’s Bazaar will greet visitors before they enter the attraction, at -2 degrees with a snow depth of 500mm, selling souvenirs and clothing for cold weather.

At the Snowflake Garden, a snow play activity area, there will be ice labyrinths, games and snowman building.

The Crystal Carousel zone will celebrate the animals of the park, while a climb up Flurries’ Mountain will lead to the attraction’s Enchanted Tree.

“The activities and environments will work together, allowing guests to make new discoveries and experience shared memories, while creating a destination to which they wish to return again and again.

Al-Futtaim Malls recently announced the launch of a new expansion to Cairo Festival City Mall. Festival Avenue will have 120 shops, including 60 retail stores, 20 F&B offerings and two new entertainment concepts.

Reem Mall and Majid Al Futtaim Ventures join forces

This came after Majid Al Futtaim revealed plans to spend $4 billion on shopping centres in Saudi Arabia. Vox Cinemas, which is owned by Majid Al Futtaim, will also spend $500 million on 600 screens in Saudi.

Snow Abu Dhabi is scheduled to open in late 2020, when construction on the Reem Mall project is completed.
