Turner’s Cartoon Network EMEA has revealed details of its Cartoon Network zone at IMG Worlds of Adventure following confirmation that the world’s largest indoor theme park will open on 15th August 2016.
The agreement between Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group (IMG) and Cartoon Network will deliver an interactive world featuring Ben 10, Adventure Time, The Powerpuff Girls and The Amazing World of Gumball.
“Throughout the process, IMG have matched our passion and ambition to bring Cartoon Network’s iconic brands to life; and the attraction is a significant milestone in our strategy to deliver more immersive fan experiences for kids and families, ” reported Johanne Broadfield, VP EMEA at Cartoon Network Enterprises.
Ben 10 5D – ‘Hero Time’ promises to immerse audiences in a real-life battle with Ben and Rook in an epic 5D multi-sensory theatre experience. Fans can ride with Blossom, Bubbles & Buttercup in The Powerpuff Girls – Mojo Jojo’s Robot Rampage to help fight Mojo Jojo’s evil robot creation.
Further attractions will include The Ride of Ooo with Finn and Jake, an Adventure Time themed scenic ride high above the park, and The Amazing Ride of Gumball, an interactive remote game where players can blast objects threatening to take over the town of Elmore.
The Cartoon Network zone will also showcase an array of branded restaurants and retail outlets, including the world’s largest Ben 10 retail store.
At 1.5 million square feet, IMG Worlds of Adventure is set to be the world’s largest temperature-controlled, indoor, themed entertainment destination and is predicted to attract over 30, 000 international guests a day.
“We’re confident that the Cartoon Network zone will build upon the channels' already strong position in the Middle East and that both the young and the young at heart will be delighted when the park opens its gates this August, " added Broadfield.
