Virtuix announces partnership between Omni Arena and Hownd

Virtuix, developer of the Omni virtual reality treadmill and Omni Arena esports attraction, has partnered with Hownd foot traffic generation platform.

Virtuix is pleased to announce a new partnership between Omni Arena and Hownd, a foot traffic generation platform which enables local businesses to appeal to new and returning visitors. Together, they will drive traffic to Omni Arena operators, who will receive a free trial subscription.

Under the new partnership, Hownd will be integrated with Omni Arena’s player database.  It will then use player profiles generated by Omni Arena in order to promote repeat visits.

Acting on valuable data

“70% of Omni Arena players create a player profile, yielding the operator 1,000 to 1,500 email addresses and dates of birth each month,” says Jan Goetgeluk, founder and CEO of Virtuix. “Such incredible user data is only valuable when used for direct marketing that drives players back to the venue.

“Hownd is an expert at using player profiles for this purpose, and we expect that Omni Arena’s integration with the Hownd platform will increase repeat play even more.”

The Omni Arena is already driving an impressive amount of repeat play, with a rate of 30% which is among the highest in the sector. With the addition of the Hownd platform, players who register a profile will be sent personalised promotions to encourage them to return and play again. Operators will also benefit from a free trial of the Hownd Plus Plan. This includes marketing and promotions based on the players’ date of birth.

Driving repeat visits

“We’ve been using Hownd for over a year now,” says Alpa Panchal, owner of Sky Zone McDonough, an Omni Arena operator and Hownd customer. “We are thrilled that Hownd will integrate with Omni Arena and use our guests’ Omni Arena profiles for promotions and birthday marketing. The high rate of repeat visits by our Omni Arena players is one of our main defences against new competitors in our area.”

“We identified Omni Arena as a premiere virtual reality attraction when it comes to capturing player data and delivering an excellent gaming experience,” said Brandon Willey, founder and CEO of Hownd. “No other VR attraction generates player data and profiles like Omni Arena does. Integrating Hownd with Omni Arena creates a powerful combination that will stimulate players, even more, to come and play again and again.”

The two companies will be highlighting their new partnership promotion at IAAPA Expo 2019 in Orlando, where Virtuix is a platinum sponsor. The event takes place from 18 – 22 November and the team will be at booth #2686, where attendees can book a demo of the Omni Arena.

Virtuix also recently announced the opening of an Omni Arena at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games in Orlando, Florida.
