Vortex Aquatic Structures International, a leader in aquatic play landscapes and entertainment solutions, has been recognised with a GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Award for their Water Journey™ aquatic play solution.
Recognized by the Jury with the Best Street Furniture award for its high-quality design and attention to aesthetic detail, Water Journey alongside the other GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN winners were celebrated at the 8th annual gala and featured in a special edition of INTÉRIEURS magazine.
Water Journey’s™ interlocking sets imitate natural water systems, providing an interactive experience for children as well as a communal meeting place for parents.
The four “events” – Labyrinth, Jet Dance, The Race, and Tide Pool – can be configured according to the space available. They include features designed to stimulate children of all ages physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially to by learning through play. Moveable levers, water gates and pumps can be used to create an exciting chain reaction of water effects that encourage teamwork and teach the relationship between cause and effect.
Design firms, Dikini and Daily Tous les Jours developed the product, which is manufactured, marketed and distributed by Vortex.
