Warner Bros have created a themed escape room to promote the release of the new Tomb Raider film starring Alicia Vikander on March 15.

TOMB RAIDER: ESCAPE is a 30 minute multi room experience in east London, using the actual sets from the new film.  Spanning three floors, the 1500 sq ft escape room incorporates puzzles, technology, physical obstacles, theatre and special effects.

Opening on March 9 for a limited period, the experience has been created with input from the Tomb Raider filmmakers, including production designer Gary Freeman.

Tomb Raider created by Core Design was one of the first action-adventure video games, selling over 58 million copies worldwide.  One of the best-selling video game franchises ever, the game launched the pneumatic action heroine Lara Croft into the public consciousness.

Two film earlier film adaptations, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider in 2001 and its sequel The Cradle of Life in 2003, both starred Angelina Jolie as the unconventional aristocratic archaeologist.

Tapping into the escape room trend, this is a new use for film sets from Warner Bros, who have enjoyed enormous success with the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter experience.  The studio tour recently announced a new feature showcasing a behind-the-scenes look at The Goblet of Fire.
