Imagineear has enhanced the guest experience at Wembley Stadium thanks to its revolutionary group tour system.

The company’s MultimediaGroupGuide™ is delivering new video footage and re-edited content via a newly designed interface. The system also boasts image recognition and 360 video technology.

Guides can now speak to their group through amplified radio mics ensuring fans don’t miss a thing. They can also trigger pre-loaded multimedia content on the group’s individual players. This brings the experience to life for viewers whilst ensuring the guide has complete control over the group and tour.

“The biggest advantage of the MultimediaGroupGuide™ is the ability it provides to add that extra dimension to the experience and support the tour guide,” explains Imagineear’s Iain George, Project Director, UK & Ireland.

Wembley Stadium visitors ‘feel’ what it’s like to be at a game

“The immersive audio and multimedia elements help visitors ‘feel’ what it’s like to be at a game or concert at Wembley,” continues George.

“The other great advantage is that the tour guide can dictate and change the tour route easily without affecting the experience or the visitor even noticing the change.”

The £750m Wembley Stadium opened in 2007, replacing the iconic twin towers that had been a London landmark since 1923. The venue is home to world-class sporting and entertainment events. At present, around 100,000 visitors a year take the Wembley tour – mainly from the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain. This figure is expected to rise considerably over the next few years with further enhancements to the visitor experience.

Imagineear designs and builds straightforward multimedia and audio technology platforms for visitor attractions that are robust, reliable and easy to maintain. Clients include London’s Design Museum, Barcelona’s historic Hospital de la Santa Creui Sant Pau and the Heineken Experience, Amsterdam.
