WhiteWater, a leading waterpark manufacturer, is celebrating its President & CEO’s appearance on the BBC’s Paths to Success programme.

WhiteWater is pleased to announce that its President and CEO, Geoff Chutter, was recently featured on a BBC programme entitled Paths to Success. As part of the show, the BBC’s Canadian team paid a visit to WhiteWater’s Vancouver office. The team interviewed Chutter about his journey with the company, as it reaches its 40th anniversary.

Chutter shared insights into the attractions industry and was able to give a message of hope to entrepreneurs during this time of upheaval. He explained how, when he first started WhiteWater, he was hugely mortgaged and faced interest rates of up to 20%. Nevertheless, he persevered and made the company into the market leader it is today.

Highlighting WhiteWater’s success

Geoff Chutter from WhiteWater appears on BBC's paths to successAs well as featuring the company’s manufacturing capabilities in Canada, the documentary also explored how WhiteWater operates on a global basis and is able to respond to its client’s needs locally, thanks to its teams in Barcelona, Shanghai and Dubai.

In addition to this, the BBC show highlighted one of the key mentalities that has helped WhiteWater to succeed – as Chutter says, the company has always aimed to get ‘the right people on the bus in the right seats’. This has created the culture of integrity and collaboration that WhiteWater is known for, and has lead to the formation of a diverse team with talents across several sectors.

Last year, Chutter was named as EY’s Canadian Entrepreneur Of The Year. He attributes his success to the strong team behind him.

Lui Petrollini is EY’s Assurance Partner and the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Pacific Program Director. Speaking of Chutter’s award, he said, “it’s one thing to be acknowledged for entrepreneurial achievement, it’s another to be acknowledged in a sector that supports family values by enabling dreams to come true and lasting memories to be made.

“Becoming the largest global designer and the biggest manufacturer of water park products is no small feat. It’s taken Geoff, and WhiteWater, years of dedication to their business, product mix, and customer base to achieve this global reach and success.”

Earlier this year, WhiteWater announced the appointment of Franceen Gonzales, Executive Vice President, Americas, to the role of Chairperson for ASTM International’s F24 committee – Amusement Rides and Devices. She is the first woman to hold this post.
