Phil Edgell has been appointed president of Vantage, WhiteWater’s guest engagement platform.
A well-known name in Canada’s technology industry, Edgell most recently led sales operations at Hootsuite, the world’s most widely used social media management platform as global vice-president. Previously he was executive vice- president of operations at the IT company Long View Systems.

Launched in November at IAAPA Attractions Expo, Vantage, is designed to improve both operational efficiency and visitor experience.
The platform captures all of a venue’s data, highlighting critical park metrics. These real-time insights allow operators to respond immediately to conditions, improve safety, analyse trends and make strategic long-term planning decisions. Guests, meanwhile, benefit from a seamless and personalised venue-wide experience, from rides and attractions to in-park purchases and facilities.
Vantage’s second installation is set to go live this spring at the Island H2O Live! waterpark in Kissimmee, Florida. The park, part of the new Margaritaville Resort Orlando, has integrated Vantage into its slides and attractions, food and beverage, retail outlets and more.
