Completed installations include the first SlideWheel in the Americas and the debut of the new Blasterango Battle ride

WhiteWater, a leading waterpark manufacturer, is showcasing a number of its projects that guests can enjoy across the USA this summer, including some industry firsts. One such project is the first SlideWheel in the Americas and in the Western hemisphere, which opened at Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park on Memorial Day weekend (pictured, top).

The company’s popular rotating SlideWheel combines the classic Ferris wheel with the fun of a water slide, for an unpredictable ride experience.

New rides make USA debut

In addition to this, Soaky Mountain Waterpark in Tennessee also sees an industry first, with the debut of WhiteWater’s Blasterango Battle. This brings together the company’s Blaster Battle and Boomerango rides to create a one-of-a-kind dueling ride where guests compete side-by-side on Master Blasters, before going over the edge on brand new translucent Boomerango walls.

Florida’s Orlando World Center Marriott is now home to a new outdoor area, complete with a 50-ft water slide tower launching three thrilling inner tube rides: Boomerango, AquaSphere, and Tailspin. Elsewhere in Florida, SeaWorld’s Aquatica has opened Reef Plunge, where guests can enjoy new slides that transition from ocean-themed AquaLucent effects in dark AquaTubes to clear acrylic flumes that allow them to observe real marine life.

At Island H2O Water Park in Kissimmee, also in Florida, WhiteWater’s software arm Vantage has helped the operator to introduce a new all-digital season pass, which is another first in the industry. This solution will automate the process for a more streamlined experience. It will also save time and reduce staffing needs.

More water fun

Meanwhile, WhiteWater’s Bombs Away high-thrill body slide complex, featuring an AquaDrop and Flatline Loop, is set to open at three Palace Entertainment parks: Raging Waters Los Angeles in California, Sandcastle Waterpark in Pennsylvania, and Wet’n’Wild Emerald Pointe in North Carolina.

Also in California, Wild Water Adventures in California will offer its own version of Bombs Away, called Green Mamba. Elsewhere in the state, the brand-new Wild Rivers park, located on the site of the old water park which has been closed for ten years, is home to seven WhiteWater ride complexes. Visitors can experience high-speed body slides, family raft rides, interactive water play and more.

In addition to this, WhiteWater is bringing its trusted AquaPlay structure to LEGOLAND New York this summer. This AquaPlay 1050 adds to more than 800 installations of AquaPlay structures across the globe, and will also feature several AquaSplash Toys.

“It’s great to see such high-profile openings in North America, which are inviting more investments in the attractions industry after the events of the last two years,” says Doug Smith, head of global sales. “With this changing landscape, WhiteWater is innovating to offer clients not only products that allow venues to stand out, but solutions to help them digitally transform with the times.”

In total, more than 70 projects supplied by WhiteWater will be opening around the world this year.

Last month, WhiteWater announced that it has achieved Gold Standard status as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, presented by Deloitte.
