Wu-Tang Clan could be getting their own theme park in South Korea, according to the vice president of Wu-Tang Management, Jimmy Kang. Wu-Tang Clan is an American hip-hop group.

In an interview with MassLive, Jimmy Kang revealed that he is in talks to develop a Wu-Tang Clan theme park in Seoul, South Korea.

The location is significant to Kang, whose family emigrated from South Korea when he was four years old. Kang was hired to join Wu-Tang Management in 2010 after a meeting with RZA and other team members.

“They came and asked me to come up to New York City,” Kang told the publication. “I met up with RZA, Freedom, Devine, Mook and Krumbsnatcha. When they approached me, I thought it was unreal.”

Kang revealed very little about the Wu-Tang Clan theme park, but the interview states that he opened his laptop to reveal development plans for the attraction.

“[My father] always told me, if you’re going to do something, do it to your fullest potential, don’t half-ass it or you’re just wasting time,” said Kang.

As well as his role at Wu-Tang Management, Kang has overseen four clubs and an independent record label in Worcester, Massachusetts.

According to Consequence of Sound, one section of the theme park could be devoted to Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) – the debut studio album by Wu-Tang Clan.

Elsewhere, the Motown Museum has broken ground on the first phase of its $50m expansion. Motown founder Berry Gordy marked the occasion at the site of his music empire.

Meanwhile, the Universal Hip Hop Museum is opening in the Bronx, New York in 2023. Tech-driven exhibits will play a key role.
