HB Leisure, the worldwide operator of skill games and amusements, has opened a new operation at a leading Australian theme park.
The new operation is believed to be the furthest that HB Leisure has committed to from its base in Rhyl, North Wales, located on the opposite side of the world.
Found on the Gold Coast of Queensland, Warner Bros. Movie World is one of the most popular parks in Australia, situated less than an hour away from Brisbane. Earlier this year, the park announced it will be home to the world’s first Wizard of Oz-themed land, scheduled to open in 2024.
Outstanding experiences
Under its new deal, HB Leisure will manage a range of sideshow games such as Hook-a-Duck and Basketball, testing the skills of park patrons with the opportunity of winning giant prizes including inflatables and cuddly toys.
The distance between the park and HB Leisure’s head office in the UK is well over 10,000 miles.
“At HB Leisure, our total focus is on creating an outstanding customer experience – games that are full of fun and excitement for all the family,” says a representative.
“With top-quality prizes and generous win rates, we seek to provide excellent value for money for all.”
Worldwide operations
The company’s pursuit of excellence is reflected in its Mystery Shopper scores which typically reach an average of over 90%. With each new season, HB Leisure looks closely at visitor feedback and introduces inventive new games and prizes across its portfolio of partner sites which include Alton Towers, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Europa-Park and SeaWorld Orlando.
The company notes that Movie World marks only the beginning of its continued expansion in Australia, adding: “It is the start of new park partnerships with Village Roadshow Theme Parks, Australia with Sea World now also open. Watch this space!”
HB Leisure recently participated in IAAPA Expo Europe in London and IAAPA Expo in Orlando, where attendees could try their hand at one of the company’s exciting theme park prize games.
