Technically Creative, the immersive experience expert, is a new company on the scene in York, UK, creating the ultimate in interactive installations.

Technically Creative, a York-based integrated technology contractor, was founded in July 2019. The new company, started by Managing Director Marc Broadbent, supplies in house AV and lighting design and installation.

Broadbent has more than 30 years of experience in the fields of electronics, programming, AV and laser animation projections, as well as over 12 years experience with interactives. He decided to create the company in order to fill a gap in the market.

Over 115 years of experience

To achieve this goal, Broadbent has assembled an impressive team, who between them have more than 115 years of combined experience in the attractions industry. Previous projects worked on by team members at Technically Creative include Kidzania in London and Abu Dhabi, Walking Dead at Thorpe Park and the IOC Olympic Museum in Lausanne. The company will work on projects for a range of venues, such as theme parks, FECs and museums.

The Technically Creative team is passionate about the industry, and one key fact about the team is that everyone has had installation experience, even desk-based staff such as programmers or project managers. This means that the whole team understands what it takes to make a project come together.

“No other job will come close to the excitement of creating what we can imagine,” says Broadbent. “Our only boundary is imagination! Creativity is in all of our blood.”

A one-stop shop

The company is able to offer everything in-house, thanks to its team of electronic programmers, electricians, software developers, network engineers, AV engineers and technicians. Technically Creative aims to be a one-stop-shop for attraction experiences, with a range of skills on offer, including concept design, R&D, programming, animation, workshop building, electrical & lighting, AV, Special FX, show control and installations.

The team has several projects on the go already, for example, XPLORE (an FEC in Athens) and Wordsworth Hall Museum in Cumbria. Technically Creative is dedicated to providing captivating installations on any scale.
