WiegandSlide, a creator of innovative slides and rides, has announced that it has two unique new clients for its stainless steel slides: Google and Miral.
The Google headquarters in Zurich, the tech company’s largest HQ building outside the USA, and the Abu Dhabi headquarters of Miral, the biggest real estate developer in the Emirates, are both now home to a design slide made in Germany by Wiegand.
While the slides can serve as an escape route, according to the company this isn’t the primary goal. A statement from WiegandSlide says: “These slides are visual statements through close coordination with the building’s architecture. And they also simply bring the creative employees fun when changing floors, a little adrenaline rush during the break – or joy on the way home at the end of the day.”
Stainless steel slides
Wiegand’s stainless steel slides are suitable for a range of venues. The company provides many different projects, from small standard playground units to design slides such as these and also large event slides and slide paradises, all with or without curves, with supporting towers or for existing embankments. For all projects, it ensures that guest safety and comfort are key.
The company takes care of the full package for its client’s projects, from pre-planning and design through to construction and installation. Wiegand produces box slides, single and multi-lane box slides with waves, open curved slides, helical slides, enclosed or panoramic tube slide, individual slides and more.
Last month, the company premiered its interactive CoasterKart ride in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Rowdy Bear Ridge Adventure Park is the first to simultaneously house the CoasterKart and the company’s Alpine Flyer suspended coaster. WiegandSlide built the track for the new attraction using its Alpine Coaster as a reference. Riders can adjust the speed of their vehicle using a joystick-like controller mounted to the safety bar.
