Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure Universal Orlando

Universal Orlando Resort has announced ‘Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure’ to be the name of the highly anticipated new ride in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

According to Universal, the ride in Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure, will feature their most highly themed coaster to date. Guests will fly with Hogwarts gamekeeper Hagrid on a thrilling roller coaster ride into the path of creatures found throughout the Wizarding World.

From the concept art, it appears guests can ride either on the bike or in the sidecar for the adventure through the Forbidden Forest.

Also announced was the opening date – Thursday, 13th June 2019. More details of the ride will be announced in March 2019.

Universal has been teasing the new ride since first announcing it in a blog post in July 2018; promising the ride would take guests deeper into J.K Rowling’s Wizarding World and the Harry Potter series.

To create ‘Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure’, the ride ‘Dragon Challenge’ was removed. The Bolliger & Mabillard coaster was a two-sided, intertwined and inverted ride originally called ‘Duelling Dragons’. When the Wizarding World opened in 2010, the new area absorbed part of the Lost Continent land and the ride also changed its name.
