Malahat SkyWalk, located close to Victoria on Vancouver Island, immerses visitors in nature as they travel along 600m of elevated walkway before ascending a circular ramp to the top of a spiral tower.
The spiral tower is the first of its kind in British Columbia, with visitors towering at 250m above sea level to enjoy 360-degree views of islands, inlets, fjords, forests and mountains.
In addition, adrenaline junkies can walk on an adventure net suspended across the centre of the tower for the ‘ultimate natural high’, or enjoy a thrilling ride down a 20m spiral slide.

The $17m Malahat SkyWalk project is located on the traditional territory of the Malahat Nation, and their indigenous history and culture is embedded in the visitor experience.
“As Canadians return to travel this summer, we are so excited to open our doors and welcome guests,” said Ken Bailey, general manager of Malahat SkyWalk.
“We hope locals and visitors alike include Malahat SkyWalk in their summer travel plans and find a sense of pride in what we’ve created, bringing their family and friends to visit this world-class tourism experience in their own backyard for years to come.”
Malahat SkyWalk is owned and operated by Malahat SkyWalk Corp. The group partnered with the Malahat Nation, and with Gateway Ticketing Systems to provide ticketing and admission control software.

“We looked at a number of operating systems and we did not find another one that offered such a comprehensive suite of services that touched every facet of our business,” said Bailey.
“We’re so grateful to welcome Malahat SkyWalk to the Gateway family,” added Peter Wolf, director of sales and marketing at Gateway Ticketing Systems.
Elsewhere, Fuji-Q is adding a $10m Fujiyama Tower observation deck to its Fujiyama coaster, offering views of Mount Fuji as well as a tubular slider and daredevil walkway.
