SkyHelix Sentosa, Singapore‘s highest open-air panoramic ride, is opening ahead of schedule on December 15, 2021, operator Mount Faber Leisure Group revealed.

Located within a collection of attractions at Imbiah Lookout, SkyHelix Sentosa is a gondola ride that offers spectacular views of the island resort as it rotates 35 metres above ground along a vertical helix-like structure.

SkyHelix Sentosa’s apex is 79 metres above sea level, making it one of the highest vantage points on Sentosa. It will also be the island’s first carbon neutral attraction.

“As Singapore eyes a long-term goal recovery of its tourism sector, the opening of SkyHelix Sentosa signals a strong message of hope and optimism for the industry and the country,” said Buhdy Bok, managing director at Mount Faber Leisure Group.

“We believe that the panoramic views experienced on SkyHelix Sentosa will uplift and inspire diverse audiences across all age groups.”

Guests will be seated in open-air gondolas for the ride, which includes 10 minutes of rotation at the peak. During the ascent, rotation and descent, visitors can enjoy drinks exclusively created for the attraction.

Designed and constructed by French company Aerophile, SkyHelix Sentosa is only available for vaccinated guests and accompanying children under 12 years old.

“It illustrates how the Sentosa community has come together to push ahead into the future, despite the challenges of the past year,” she added.

“SkyHelix Sentosa will join a diverse pipeline of new and upcoming Sentosa experiences, including wellness experiences at Oasia Resort Sentosa, an innovative perfumery experience at Scentopia, as well as the island’s new lifestyle destination, Southside, among various other exciting highlights.”
